Kyle and Crow are first up at the CMAP lab meetings

Wednesday Oct 5, 3pm
Kyle Cavanaugh will talk about ‘a project I am working on that combines Landsat mapping of kelp forests with genetic sampling to examine the relationship between isolation and inbreeding.’

Wednesday Oct 12, 3pm
Crow White will talk about a project entitled ‘Ecosystem service tradeoff analysis reveals the value of marine spatial planning for multiple ocean uses.’

Both in the third floor conference room at MSRB

I'm a professor of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research is primarily in ecological theory, with a population approach. I work in a number of applications including coastal fisheries, population viability analysis, and conservation biology; I do fundamental theoretical work on the implications of among-individual variability for population dynamics. I'm also an Associate Dean of the Graduate Division at UCSB.
